NRMA Insurance is supporting the NSW Police Force to bring the
Home Safe program to local areas across New South Wales.
This program aims to reduce the number of burglaries and break and enter incidents. We also support initiatives that aim to reduce car theft.
The Home Safe Program includes:
-
Community Safety Forums - forums are held in local communities and include presentations by home security experts, NRMA representatives and NSW Police focussing on local crime trends and strategies to mitigate theft related crime.
-
Good Neighbour BBQs provide opportunities for people to get to know their neighbours, as research shows that communities where people know each other are safer.
-
Crime Prevention Van - provides practical advice and information to decrease the chance of theft, including examples of inexpensive security systems as well as locks for doors and windows.
