Our annual communityhelp grants program supports local organisations working to make our communities safer.
Community organisations can apply for grants of up to $5,000 (including GST) for road safety, crime prevention, environmental, or emergency readiness and response initiatives.
This year 65 community groups in New South Wales received a community help grant. Read about the 2008 recipients.
Since the program began in 2003, we have invested $3.6 million into over 1000 community projects across Australia. Our employees are also actively involved, with many volunteering to help groups implement their projects.
Road safety grants
We support evidence based road safety projects that seek to change behaviours on the road and help to reduce the likelihood and severity of road incidents.

Crime prevention grants
We support local programs that focus on increasing safety and security in local communities by reducing the opportunity for crime or by targeting persons at risk of becoming criminal offenders.

Emergency readiness and response grants
We focus on education programs that create awareness about the importance of preparing for an emergency in the home.
Environment grants
We support local initiatives that raise awareness and promote actions to combat climate change.
