Andy Cornish - Chief Executive Officer, Direct Insurance
Andy Cornish joined IAG in January 2009 as Chief Executive Officer, Direct Insurance, which distributes general insurance products directly to customers throughout Australia under the NRMA Insurance, SGIO, SGIC and RACV* brands.
Andy brings to IAG more than 30 years experience in the insurance industry. He previously held several managing director roles with the second largest general insurer in the UK, RBS Insurance, which is part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
Prior to joining RBS Insurance in 1999, Mr Cornish was Chief Executive Officer of motoring organisation Green Flag Group Ltd. He has also held senior management positions with Zurich Insurance and Eagle Star Insurance Co Ltd.

Ron Arnold - Head of Strategy & Customer Insights
For the last 10 years Ron has held General Management positions with AAMI across a range of strategic and operational functions. This included the role of GM New South Wales where he had Profit & Loss responsibility for the NSW Motor, Home and CTP books and managed more than 900 employees. Over a four year period he led a team that was responsible for the turnaround of AAMI NSW. Most recently, Ron was the GM Marketing & Corporate Affairs and during this time his team helped to deliver significant sales growth and brand differentiation for the AAMI business.
Prior to this, he held senior positions in the public sector including Assistant Commissioner Productivity Commission, Commonwealth Competitive Neutrality Complaints Office, Assistant Secretary/Director of the Bureau of Industry Economics, Director of the Industry Commission and Assistant Secretary/Director Queensland Treasury.
David Brown - Head of Sales & Service
David has been with the organisation since 2003, holding several senior roles including National Services Manager and State Claims Manager of NSW Workers' Compensation. He has worked in senior government positions and was also a member of South Australia Police for 14 years.
Sue Houghton - Head of Claims
Sue has worked for IMA since 2000 and prior to taking on the role worked in a number of senior management roles in financial services in the UK and Australia.
Stuart Blake - Head of Commercial Pricing & Underwriting
Stuart has 15 years experience in general insurance and has held senior management positions across the business, working with some of Australia’s best known brands, including NRMA Insurance, RACV, SGIO and SGIC.
Some of these positions have included State Manager NRMA Insurance NSW/ACT, State Manager Victoria, National Sales Manager, Telephone Business and Home Underwriting Manager. As State Manager NSW/ACT Stuart was responsible for sales, marketing and distribution, as well as leading a senior management team accountable for strategy and state profit and loss.
Andrew Mathews - Head of Insurance Risk
Andrew joined Insurance Australia Group in 1999 as Senior Actuary for CGU Insurance Australia, and has since held roles including Head Actuary (Commercial Insurance, CGU), Head of Risk and Actuarial (IAG, Australia and NZ) and Risk and Capital Director (IAG, UK). Andrew has a wealth of experience in capital management, asset strategy, information delivery, pricing and a wide range of insurance products.
Graeme Adams - Head of Compulsory Third Party (CTP)
Graeme has more than two decades experience in the general insurance industry. He has been an active voice on industry issues, serving on numerous Insurance Council of Australia forums, and as a Director of the Insurance Ombudsman Service Limited.
Nola Watson - Head of Chief Executive Office
Nola Watson has been a senior executive in the Insurance Australia Group since 2002 in roles including Head of Corporate Risk Services and Head of Government & International Relations. Prior to IAG, Nola worked as a senior executive in both Federal and NSW governments, primarily in Attorney-General’s and law enforcement portfolios.
Katie Dansey - Head of Human Capital
Katie has 20 years experience in general insurance and has held a variety of senior operational and HR related roles in NSW, Victoria, ACT and Queensland across underwriting, sales, claims, HR, and strategy/planning functions.
Terese Wood - Head of CFO
Terese has 20 years experience in financial services, the last seven of which have been in senior management for NRMA Insurance, SGIO and SGIC. She has also worked in banking and accounting firms in Australia and overseas.
