Terms and Conditions of Entry

  1. The Promoter is Insurance Australia Limited ABN 11 000 016 722 trading as NRMA Insurance of 388 George Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Telephone 02 9292 9222.
  2. Employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, related companies of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion and their related companies are ineligible to enter.
  3. By entering this competition, entrants agree to abide by these Conditions of Entry.
  4. This promotional offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
  5. 5. Competition commences at 8.00am (AEDST) on 15/11/2009 and closes at 8.00pm (AEDST) on 21/11/2009 ("Promotion Period").
  6. Entry is open to any person aged 18 years and over who:
    • phones NRMA Insurance on 132 132 between the hours of 8.00am to 8.00pm AEDST Monday to Sunday ("Operating Hours"); and
    • speaks to a Consultant at a NRMA Insurance's telephone business centre located at either:
      1. 6 Crofts Avenue Hurstville NSW, or
      2. Level 3, 25 Smith St, Parramatta NSW 2150, or
      3. Level 1, 46 Colin St, West Perth WA 6005, or
      4. Level 8, 189 Grey St, Southbank QLD 4101, or
      5. Level 1, 34a Alexander St, Burnie TAS 7320, or
      6. 17-19 King St, Davenport TAS 7310 ("Participating Location"); and
    • takes out a quote for, or pays for the renewal of an NRMA Comprehensive Car Insurance policy with a New South Wales risk address, with a term of 12 months ("Qualifying Policy"), during the Promotion Period ("Eligible Entrant").
  7. During the Promotion Period, one Eligible Entrant per hour during the Operating Hours will be selected at random to win their Qualifying Policy for only $1. The issue of a Qualifying Policy is subject to NRMA Insurance's underwriting guidelines. Comprehensive Plus Insurance policies are excluded. Excludes commercial policies. Vehicle must be used for private use only.
  8. The prizes are 1 x Qualifying Policy per hour during Operating Hours for $1. The total number of prizes on offer is 84 Comprehensive Car Insurance policies. The total prize pool is valued at $200,000. In determining the total prize pool, the value of the prizes has been calculated based on the average premium for Qualifying Policies.
  9. Winners will be notified immediately and their names will be published on the website www.nrma.com.au within seven (7) days of being drawn as a winner.
  10. All prize values are in Australian dollars. Prizes will only be distributed in Australia.
  11. The Promoter's decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. The prizes and all components of the prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise.
  13. Any cancellation, variation, extension or other amendment or the voiding of a Qualifying Policy, will be subject to the terms of the Qualifying Policy as set out in the Product Disclosure Statement and Policy booklet issued by Insurance Australia Limited ABN 11 000 016 722 trading as NRMA Insurance. Any amendments to the Qualifying Policy during the 12 month term of the Policy which result in an additional premium becoming payable must be paid for by the winner.
  14. The Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage or personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of this competition or taking the prize or any component of the prize in connection with or arising out of this competition.
  15. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to fraud or causes beyond the control of the Promoter or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter also reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
  16. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Act. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to the Promoter using and disclosing the entrant's personal information for the purposes of conducting the competition and redeeming the prizes (if applicable) and in any medium for any promotion or matter connected to or incidental to this competition.
