Changing your registration number
The RTA will advise us of any changes to your registration number, and these changes will be reflected on your NRMA Insurance CTP Green slip.
Other changes
For all other changes to your CTP Green slip, please call us on 132 132 7am-10pm, 7 days.
Cancelling your registration
If you wish to cancel your vehicle registration you need to contact the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) first. Once this has been done you may be eligible for a part refund of the CTP premium you have paid.
In NSW
If you want to cancel the policy and you are in NSW, you should:
- Go to an RTA office to cancel your registration
- Take the RTA confirmation of your registration cancellation to any NRMA Office and fill out a Compulsory Third Party Notice of Cancellation Form
(PDF) - The refund of the unused premium will be processed within 2-3 weeks.
Outside NSW
If you want to cancel the policy and you are outside NSW, you should:
- Surrender your registration plates to the motor traffic authority of the State you are in
- Make sure you receive a receipt for the plates
- Send a copy of the receipt, with a letter requesting refund of the unused CTP premium to:
