Making a CTP Greenslip claim (NSW)

CTP Greenslip - woman on telephone

A CTP Greenslip is compulsory third party (CTP) insurance that covers you for personal injury that you cause to others as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, CTP Greenslip insurance protects you from claims that can be made by a person that you, or the driver of your vehicle, may have injured on the road. We know how devastating accidents can be – that’s why we’ve made the claims process as easy as we can.

Who can make a CTP Insurance Personal Injury claim?

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident where the driver of another vehicle was at fault, you may be able to claim compensation from the CTP Insurance of that vehicle. Close relatives of a person killed in a motor vehicle accident may also be able to make a claim. You can make a claim whether you are a driver, motor cyclist, passenger, pillion passenger, pedestrian or a cyclist. If the vehicle that caused the accident was covered by an NRMA Greenslip, you can submit a Personal Injury Claim to NRMA Insurance.

You cannot make a CTP Greenslip claim if you were the driver of the vehicle at fault. If, however, you are covered by an NRMA Insurance CTP Greenslip, then our At-fault driver cover allows you to claim for certain serious injuries. Some exclusions apply, vehicles registered as a motorcycle, taxi cab, police vehicle, ambulance, machinery, bus and self-driven hire vehicle, please refer to the At-Fault Driver policy booklet.
