Our history dates back to 1925 when the NRMA established NRMA Insurance to provide insurance to its members in NSW and ACT. Over the decades, NRMA Insurance has grown strongly to offer a comprehensive range of insurance products.
Now we're proudly managing the insurance needs of millions of customers.
We're the major corporate supporter of the NSW State Emergency Service (SES). The SES is the lead agency in the response to floods, storms and tsunamis in NSW. Plus our Community Grants program supports local community groups working to reduce risk and increase safety in their areas.
NRMA Insurance became an alternative and competitive insurance provider for Queenslanders in 1995. Today, NRMA Insurance employs around 400 Queenslanders and is involved in sponsorship with sports and rescue.
We pride ourselves on helping you understand insurance, and being able to make uncomplicated choices to protect the things you value. We also know that severe weather is part and parcel of life in Queensland, especially in the warmer months – so we work extra hard to make sure that if you’re ever hit by severe weather, you get back on your feet as soon as possible.
