Have a question? We can help
What can I claim for?
If you’re injured in a motor vehicle accident caused by a vehicle with an NRMA CTP Green Slip, we can help you with your recovery and return to work. You may be eligible to claim for:
- A percentage of any income you have lost (if time off work is required to recover)
- Reasonable treatment and rehabilitation expenses
- Commercial attendant care (for help needed around the home)
- Compensation if a relative passes away
- Funeral expenses.
How do I confirm the other driver's CTP insurer?
If the other driver's vehicle is registered in NSW, you can look up the CTP insurer for a vehicle by using Service NSW Check registration.
If the vehicle is registered in another state or territory, contact the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA).
I'm not sure which vehicle caused the accident, what do I do?
For assistance in determining who was at fault and how to claim, call the NSW State Insurance Regulation Authority’s (SIRA) CTP Assist on 1300 656 919.
What if an unidentified or uninsured vehicle caused the accident?
If you were injured in a motor incident that was caused by a vehicle and you didn't get any details, or if the vehicle isn't insured, you may still be able to claim.
Call the NSW State Insurance Regulation Authority’s (SIRA) CTP Assist on 1300 656 919.
Will you need to see copies of medical records?
In order to progress and pay your claim we may need to get medical reports and other information to help assess your benefit entitlements, which we’ll discuss with you. Please remember to keep your accounts and receipts, and provide us with copies. You’ll also need to provide your claim number to your medical treatment provider(s).
Do I get reimbursed for treatment I've had?
Once we accept that payment of your claim is our responsibility, we'll pay for the treatment and care considered to be reasonable and necessary for your motor accident related injuries. The amount we pay will be calculated according to the fee schedules and, where there are no fee schedules, we pay a fair market rate.
Remember to include any receipts or expenses when lodging your claim. A claim consultant will then review your claim and reimburse you for any expenses or treatment you’re eligible for. You can choose how you'd like to be reimbursed, either directly to your bank account or by cheque.
Who will speak to me about my claim?
If you were injured in an accident caused by an NRMA insured vehicle, we'll be responsible for progressing and paying your claim and will speak to you about your injury and entitlements. The NSW State Insurance Regulation Authority’s (SIRA) CTP Assist team may also contact you to ask about the progress of your recovery and claim.
