NRMA Insurance Rewards Program Frequently Asked Questions

Rewards is NRMA Insurance’s new rewards, safety and engagement program that helps make your world a safer place by helping you to control the things you can and to prepare for the things you can't, rewarding you in the process. More exciting features will be added in the future, so stay tuned!

By joining Rewards now, you can gain early access to our new rewards program. You’ll have access to special offers, access to Priority Assistance to help skip the queue when you need help with your NRMA Insurance policies and be able to participate in Safety Challenges featured in the app. All customers who join at this time will be called ‘Early Access’ customers.

Rewards is a new rewards, safety and engagement program offered by Insurance Australia Limited ABN 11 000 016 722 trading as NRMA Insurance.

My NRMA is a standalone membership program offered to NRMA Members. NRMA Membership is provided by National Roads and Motorists’ Association Limited trading as NRMA, which is separate and independent from Insurance Australia Limited ABN 11 000 016 722 trading as NRMA Insurance. National Roads and Motorists’ Association Limited ABN 77 000 010 506, trading as NRMA, is an authorised representative of Insurance Australia Limited ABN 11 000 016 722.

If you have an active NRMA Membership, you are also eligible to join NRMA Insurance Rewards. Read the NRMA Insurance Rewards Program Terms and Conditions for more information.

Individuals who live in Australia and have at least one active NRMA Insurance policy (where they are a named insured). That policy must also be accessible in the NRMA Insurance app. If you only hold a Motor Accident Injuries (MAI) Insurance policy, you are not currently eligible to join NRMA Insurance Rewards.

To join Rewards, you must have an active NRMA Insurance online account and then download the latest version of the NRMA Insurance app from the App Store (for iOS users) or Google Play (for Android users). If you’re eligible for the program, you’ll be prompted to join Rewards the first time you log in. To receive in-app offers, benefits, rewards and other information, you’ll need to accept the NRMA Insurance Rewards Program Terms and Conditions and consent to link your NRMA Insurance policies to your Rewards account. Upon joining Rewards, you will be able to see your unique Rewards customer number on the Rewards dashboard in the NRMA Insurance app.

By downloading and using the NRMA Insurance app, you are also accepting the NRMA Insurance app Terms of Use and the NRMA Insurance Privacy Policy.

If you wish to join later, you can do so by going to the Rewards tab in the NRMA Insurance app.

You must have at least one active NRMA Insurance policy (where you are a named insured). That policy must also be accessible in the NRMA Insurance app.

You must also live in Australia and have the latest version of the NRMA Insurance app.

If you only have shared or third-party access to policies in the NRMA Insurance app, you will not be eligible to join NRMA Insurance Rewards.

If you only have an active NRMA Membership, you are also not eligible to join NRMA Insurance Rewards at this time.

If you only hold a Motor Accident Injuries (MAI) Insurance policy, you are not currently eligible to join NRMA Insurance Rewards at this time.

If, after joining Rewards, you cease to have at least one active NRMA Insurance policy, you will still remain as a Rewards customer.

Access the NRMA Insurance Rewards Program Terms and Conditions in the app, the NRMA Insurance website, or you can download the NRMA Insurance Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.

By joining Rewards you are agreeing to the NRMA Insurance Program Rewards Terms and Conditions and consent to link your NRMA Insurance policies to your Rewards account to receive in-app offers, benefits, rewards and other information.

By downloading and using the NRMA Insurance app you are also accepting the NRMA Insurance app Terms of Use and the NRMA Insurance Privacy Policy.

You can close your Rewards account at any time. Closing your Rewards account means that you will not be able to reactivate your previous Rewards account or access any of your existing rewards or benefits. After closing your Rewards account, you’ll need to create a new Rewards account if you decide to rejoin Rewards again where you will receive a new Rewards customer number. The close option can be accessed by clicking on Close Rewards account within the More tab in the NRMA Insurance app. You can also request to close your Rewards account by calling Priority Assistance from the Rewards tab in the NRMA Insurance app.

You can close your Rewards account at any time. After closing your Rewards account, you’ll need to create a new Rewards account if you decide to rejoin Rewards again where you will receive a new Rewards customer number. The close option can be accessed by clicking on Close Rewards account within the More tab in the NRMA Insurance app. You can also request to close your Rewards account by calling Priority Assistance from the Rewards tab in the NRMA Insurance app.

A safety challenge is an opportunity to help make your world a safer place. Each challenge is made up of a group of related safety activities, which need to be undertaken to complete the Safety Challenge. An example of a safety challenge may be to prepare an emergency kit for the house or check your locks for your home.

Completing safety challenges is optional and does not affect your NRMA Insurance policy coverage, premium or ability to make a claim.

There are Motorserve offers available for Rewards customers in the NRMA Insurance app. These offers are only available to Rewards customers via the NRMA Insurance app. Please contact Motorserve if you have any further questions about the offer.

Priority Assistance is a telephone support line that allows Rewards customers to skip the queue to get quotes and new policies for Motor, Home and CTP. Rewards customers can also amend current policies and update CTP details. Priority Assistance is only available via the NRMA Insurance app.

Priority Assistance is exclusive to Rewards customers and can be accessed from the Rewards tab in the NRMA Insurance app. Priority Assistance is available 7am–10pm, 7 days.

Please note that Priority Assistance may not always be available, such as during major weather, natural disaster or other catastrophic events, where we need to meet regulatory requirements to support those impacted customers, or where there are technical issues impacting our NRMA Insurance Sales & Service Contact Centres. Priority Assistance is also unavailable on Christmas Day and Good Friday.

We’re sorry to see you go, but if you’d like to close your Rewards account you can action this by clicking on Close Rewards account within the More tab in the NRMA Insurance app and following the prompts. You can also request to close your Rewards account by calling Priority Assistance from the Rewards tab in the NRMA Insurance app. Please allow between 3-5 business days for this to be updated in the app.

If you choose to de-register your NRMA Insurance Online Account, then your Rewards account will also be closed. However, closing your Rewards account does not also de-register your NRMA Insurance Online Account. If you wish to de-register your NRMA Insurance Online Account, you must follow the prompts in-app to do so or call us on 132 132.
