The injured person will need to claim themselves, however you can help them by filling in the appropriate forms to start their claim. When the claim is submitted we'll need to speak to the injured person directly.

If the person is seriously ill and unable to claim themselves, call us on 1800 032 220 to discuss how to obtain Third Party Authority.

If you're needing to claim for damage to your vehicle, please visit our Car Insurance claims page

If you're insured with NRMA and have injured someone in a motor accident, you don't need to make a claim yourself. The injured person or a close relative will need to make a claim. All you need to do is provide them your details and let them know that your CTP policy is with NRMA Insurance.

As an NRMA CTP insured driver you're covered for injuries sustained in a motor accident you caused, including:

  • Liability against any other road users needing medical treatment - passengers, other drivers, cyclists, or pedestrians
  • Your injuries up to $5,000
