- Email your completed forms and treatment receipts to firstname.lastname@example.org, or post them to NRMA Insurance MAI Claims, GPO Box 481, Sydney NSW 2001
- To learn more about the MAI Insurance claims process, go to the Motor Accident Injuries Commission.
Who can claim?
If you've been injured in a road accident in the ACT, you may be able to claim compensation for up to 5 years after the accident.
Close relatives and dependants may also be able to claim compensation if a family member dies as a result of the accident.
To find out if you can claim, call 1800 032 220.
If you’re eligible, you can claim for the cost of treatment and paid care that you need to recover from injuries you got in the accident.
If you lose income because of your injuries, you can also claim for some lost income. And if you’re a close relative or dependent of someone who was killed in an accident, you can claim for funeral expenses and death benefits.
Did the accident happen before February 2020?
On 1 February 2020, the ACT moved from Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance to Motor Accident Injuries (MAI) Insurance.
So, if the accident happened before this date, you need to claim under the previous CTP scheme or our At-fault Driver Cover.
To make a claim for an accident that happened before 1 February 2020, call us on 1800 032 220.
