Our Travel Insurance covers some existing medical conditions automatically without needing you to list them on your policy.

There are some circumstances where we don't provide automatic cover. If a claim arises from or is made worse by your existing condition or pregnancy, you'll need to let us know by completing a medical assessment. You can do this in your travel insurance quote, or by calling us on 1300 305 790. If we accept your assessment, you'll need to pay an additional premium.

For a list of conditions that we automatically cover, and for general information about existing medical conditions, please read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).

To see what your policy covers you for, please refer to your policy document. Or for full details, download the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).

An excess is an amount you pay when you lodge a claim.

Our International Insurance policies provide you with a choice of excess options. Your excess is shown on your policy document.

Our Domestic Insurance policies have a $50 excess.

For full details, download the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).

An existing medical condition is a physical defect, condition, illness or disease where you've received or have been prescribed treatment, medication, surgery or advice by a medical practitioner, dental or health professional in the 180 days before the relevant time.

If you have a chronic or ongoing medical or dental condition, illness or disease that's medically documented before the relevant time, then that is also considered an existing medical condition.

For single trip policies, relevant time means the first time where any part of the relevant trip is paid for or the time when the policy is issued, whichever occurs last.

If you have any questions about cover for existing medical condition, call 1300 305 790.

Our Travel Insurance covers some existing medical conditions for free. All other existing medical conditions require assessment and if accepted, you'll need to pay an additional premium.

For a list of conditions that we automatically cover, and for general information about existing medical conditions, please read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
