NRMA Insurance $50 Virtual Visa Gift Card Business Insurance Offer – Terms and Conditions

The $50 Virtual Visa Gift Card Business Insurance Offer Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between us and you, and include terms that limit NRMA Insurance’s liability for certain types of loss or damage and permit NRMA Insurance to disclose your personal information to third parties (in accordance with the NRMA Insurance Privacy Policy). You will need to accept these Terms and Conditions to continue to participate in this Offer.

  1. These terms and conditions (“Offer Terms and Conditions”) apply to the NRMA Business Insurance ‘$50 Gift Card Offer’ (“Offer”). Eligible Recipients (see paragraph 5) agree to be bound by these Offer Terms and Conditions.
  1. Subject to these Offer Terms and Conditions, an Eligible Recipient must, in connection with taking out an Eligible Policy during the Offer Period (see paragraph 4), be presented with a banner featuring the Offer and click the “Click to apply offer” button within the banner to apply the Offer, for the Offer to apply.
  1. The promoter is Insurance Australia Limited ABN 11 000 016 722, trading as NRMA Insurance (Tower Two, Darling Park, 201 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000) (“Promoter” or “NRMA Insurance”). The Promoter has engaged Digital Glue Australia Pty Ltd ABN 36 127 466 899 (Level 5, 36 Grosvenor St, Sydney NSW 2000 Australia) (“Digital Glue”), to undertake the fulfilment of the Gift Cards (see paragraph 15).
  1. This Offer commences at 12:00am (Sydney time) on 14 March 2024 and closes at 11:59pm (Sydney time) on 25 April 2024 (“Offer Period”). With the exception of Professional Indemnity Insurance, Farm Insurance, Motor Trade Insurance and Information and Communication Technology Liability Insurance policies, during the Offer Period a banner featuring the Offer may be presented whilst a quote is being obtained online at www.nrma.com.au for a new NRMA Business Insurance policy (an “Eligible Policy”).

  1. Subject to these Offer Terms and Conditions, for the Offer to apply an individual must:

    a. be presented with a banner featuring the Offer whilst obtaining a quote for an Eligible Policy online at www.nrma.com.au;

    b. during the Offer Period, click the “Click to apply offer” button within the banner to apply the Offer;

    c. purchase the Eligible Policy with the Offer applied online at www.nrma.com.au; and

    d. otherwise satisfy the Entry Requirements (see paragraph 6), (an “Eligible Recipient”).

  1. Under this Offer, an Eligible Recipient will receive a $50 Virtual Visa Gift Card (“Gift Card”) if they meet all of the following entry requirements:

    a. the Eligible Policy must be paid for on or before the policy’s payment due date as stated on the Certificate of Insurance. Where the policy is on a fortnightly, pay-by-the-month or quarterly basis, the first instalment (which, in some cases, will be equivalent to a double instalment) must be successfully paid in full on or before the policy’s payment due date as stated on the Certificate of Insurance (in all cases, the “First Insurance Payment”);

    b. the Eligible Policy must not be cancelled within 30 days from making the First Insurance Payment; and

    c. the Eligible Recipient must provide a valid email address in connection with the purchase of an Eligible Policy (see paragraph 14 for further details), (together, the “Entry Requirements”).

  1. Limit of one (1) Virtual Gift Card per Eligible Policy.
  1. This Offer does not impact any offers, points, rewards and benefits that you may be eligible for in connection with the NRMA Insurance Help Hub Rewards Program.
  1. This Offer can be used in conjunction with the NRMA Insurance Business Insurance online offer, for so long as that offer remains available. Refer to the NRMA Insurance Business Insurance online offer terms and conditions (www.nrma.com.au/business-insurance-online-offer-terms-and-conditions) for more information.
  1. Subject to paragraphs 8 and 9 and the Promoter’s discretion, this Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers or other specials. For the avoidance of doubt, staff discount or other discounts referred to in the relevant Insurance Premium, Excess and Discounts Guide will still apply to policies purchased under this Offer.
  1. This Offer does not apply to existing NRMA Insurance policies (including any amendments or renewals). If a customer decides to take advantage of this Offer by taking out a new policy under this Offer, and otherwise complying with these Offer Terms and Conditions, they should do so having regard to their own financial situation, objectives and needs and note that the terms of a new policy may be different from an existing or renewal policy, including that the premium may be more expensive or cover may be different.
  1. Whether NRMA Insurance issues a policy and on what terms is subject to NRMA Insurance’s normal underwriting criteria and practices.

  1. By taking out an Eligible Policy under this Offer and otherwise meeting the Entry Requirements, the Eligible Recipient agrees:

    a. to receiving an email (to the email address referenced in paragraph 6.c) about the Gift Card (whether from NRMA Insurance or Digital Glue or their agents); and

    b. that such email will not contain an unsubscribe link.

  1. Communications about the Gift Card will be sent to the email address of the primary contact person for the policy as described in paragraph 6.c above. In the event an Eligible Recipient does not satisfy paragraph 6.c of the Entry Requirements at the time of taking out the policy, such Eligible Recipient will have up to 30 days to provide or update their email address to NRMA Insurance from the date they take out the policy under this Offer. Email addresses can be updated by the Eligible Recipient, within the 30-day time period, by contacting NRMA Insurance on 132 818.
  1. Once an Eligible Recipient has satisfied the Entry Requirements, NRMA Insurance, via Digital Glue, will email the Eligible Recipient’s nominated email address within 45 days after the date the First Insurance Payment is made, to confirm that they have qualified for participation in the Offer. This email will include a unique claim code (“Unique Claim Code”) and instructions on how the Eligible Recipient can redeem the Gift Card. The Eligible Recipient must redeem this Gift Card within 90 days of receiving this email.

  1. Each Eligible Recipient acknowledges that the Gift Card can only be used where Prepaid Visa gift cards are accepted and processed electronically. Each Eligible Recipient acknowledges that they must comply with the relevant Gift Card vendor’s terms and conditions, which include the following:

    a. full Gift Card terms and conditions can be found here: activgiftcard.com.au/terms-conditions/ (“Gift Card Terms of Use”). Subject to the Gift Card Terms of Use, it cannot be used for certain transactions, including at financial institutions or ATMs;

    b. the preloaded credit on the Gift Card will expire in accordance with the expiry date in the Gift Card Terms of Use;

    c. the Gift Card cannot be redeemed for cash, reloaded, or be replaced after expiry and is not legal tender, an account card, a credit or security;

    d. any dispute about goods or services purchased with the Gift Card should be resolved in accordance with the Gift Card Terms of Use and/or with the relevant retailer and not NRMA Insurance; and

    e. please refer any Gift Card transaction enquiries to support@nrma.iag-rewards.com. Neither NRMA Insurance nor Digital Glue is able to reverse any approved transactions on the Gift Card.

  1. Subject to the Gift Card Terms of Use, the Gift Card is not transferable or exchangeable. NRMA Insurance and/or Digital Glue may subject Gift Cards to verification and security checks in their absolute discretion.
  1. EXCEPT FOR ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW (IN WHICH CASE THAT LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MINIMUM ALLOWABLE BY LAW), AND SUBJECT TO CLAUSES 19 AND 20, NRMA INSURANCE’S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO $50.
  1. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NRMA INSURANCE (INCLUDING ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS) EXCLUDES ALL LIABILITY (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE.
  1. NRMA Insurance is not liable for any tax liability incurred by an Eligible Recipient as a result of their participation in the Offer.
  1. Nothing in these Offer Terms and Conditions restricts, excludes, modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law, including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth).
  1. For the avoidance of doubt, clauses 18 and 19 do not modify or otherwise affect NRMA Insurance’s potential liability under any insurance policies NRMA Insurance may enter into with you, including a policy entered into pursuant to this Offer.
  1. NRMA Insurance reserves the right to withdraw or substitute all or part of this Offer with another offer of equal or greater value at NRMA Insurance’s sole discretion. Eligible Recipients who previously took up the Offer will not be entitled to any additional compensation in the event that the Gift Card has been substituted at equal or greater value at a later time.
  1. Once the Gift Card has been despatched via email, NRMA Insurance and Digital Glue will not be responsible for and will be discharged for any delay or failure to deliver the Gift Card.
  1. NRMA Insurance is not responsible for any undelivered emails due to an Eligible Recipient’s spam filters or email settings.
  1. To determine an Eligible Recipient’s eligibility for the Offer, NRMA Insurance may request, at its discretion (acting reasonably), proof of identity, residency and eligibility. In the event that an Eligible Recipient cannot provide suitable proof, they may forfeit the Offer in whole and no substitute will be offered. NRMA Insurance reserves the right to disqualify any person that seeks to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate this Offer.
  1. NRMA Insurance (subject to State and Territory legislation) reserves the right to amend, cancel or suspend this Offer in circumstances where an event beyond the reasonable control of NRMA Insurance corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Offer.
  1. Personal information is being collected by Digital Glue and NRMA Insurance for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Offer, and to assist NRMA Insurance to improve its services. By accepting these Offer Terms and Conditions, each Eligible Recipient consents to the storage and use of their personal information by Digital Glue in accordance with its privacy policy (at blackhawknetwork.com/au-en/privacy-policy) and by NRMA Insurance in accordance with its privacy policy (at www.nrma.com.au/privacy). If the personal information is not provided, you may not be able to participate in this Offer. Each privacy policy also contains information about how individuals may access, update or correct their information, how individuals may complain about the treatment of their personal information, and how each of NRMA Insurance and/or Digital Glue (as applicable) will deal with such a complaint.
