How do I request my Online Account to be closed?

Close Online Account

If you don't want to access your policies via the NRMA Insurance website or the app anymore, you can close your Online Account and have associated data deleted.

Deleting your Online Account

You can choose to delete the App at any time. Deleting the App does not delete your Online Account used to sign into the App.

If you wish to delete your Online Account, you can:

  • Do the following within the App:
    • Log in to the NRMA Insurance App
    • Using the bottom tab bar, navigate to the More menu
    • Tap on Data & Privacy
    • Tap on 'Deregister'
    • Accept the terms and submit deregistration
    • Tap on Deregister online account
  • Alternatively, contact us.

If you choose to delete your Online Account, we will delete your account and associated login details.

If you have any active NRMA Insurance policies, you'll still be covered by your policies but you won't be able to access them via the NRMA Insurance website or the app. You will need to contact us either in person or over the phone to access your policies, or to make a payment or claim.

Personal information collected via the App will be retained as required under applicable laws and for other purposes described in the NRMA Insurance Privacy Policy, such as fraud prevention. For more information, see the NRMA Insurance Privacy Policy.

If you've signed up for a Help Hub account, by closing your Online Account your Help Hub account will also be closed. This means you'll no longer receive in-app offers, benefits, rewards or other information from Help Hub.
