What if I change where my boat is kept?

If you change the address where you usually keep your boat or where you moor your boat during your policy period, call us. It's important that you tell us about this as soon as reasonably possible, as changing your address could affect your cover.

For more information about what's covered, what's not and terms and conditions, read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).

The sum insured applies to all elements we’ve agreed to insure on your boat. It covers the hull, listed motor(s), equipment and accessories that come with your boat, boat tender (dinghy) and trailer.

By adding lay up cover you may reduce your premium (and the cover we provide) for an agreed time while you're not using your boat.

We cover your boat in the lay up period you choose. You can't use your boat in that time and you must keep it securely on a trailer or dry stored at the address shown on your policy.

We also cover your boat in the lay up period if you're taking your boat for a scheduled service or to be repaired.

If you want to use your boat during the lay up period, we'll only cover it if:

  • You tell us you're going to use it
  • We agree to cover you for that use, and
  • You pay us any additional premium that applies.
