Helping the next wave of Australian surfers

We're helping to support grassroots surfing as the presenting partner of the Australian Boardriders Battle Grand Final, Australia’s largest grassroots club surfing competition, and as a supporting partner of the NSW Regional Qualifiers in Narrabeen, Coffs Harbour and Cronulla.

NRMA Insurance SurfGroms is empowering the next generation to feel confident and safe in the ocean through fun, inclusive learn-to-surf experiences. This national junior development program supports kids aged 5-16 with coaching from foundational to advanced levels as well as lessons in ocean safety, basic first aid and water rescue techniques. Tailored programs for school groups are also available.

We’re supporting Surfing Australia to create greater opportunities for women and girls by boosting initiatives that support participation and leadership in the sport. This includes:

The NRMA Insurance RISE Women’s Program that aims to increase women’s representation in the sport through club development, coaching pathways and leadership mentoring.

The NRMA Insurance Seas the Day women’s surf festival is more than a surf competition, it’s a weekend offering free surfing lessons and workshops on wellness and mental wellbeing, career, fitness and film and photography, plus inspiring stories from surfing legends.
