Safer Journeys is a new feature in the NRMA Insurance app that gives you a personalised view of how you drive. It’s available exclusively to NRMA Insurance Help Hub customers.
Using your phone’s sensors and GPS, Safer Journeys can track your braking, acceleration, speed, and phone use. After each trip, Safer Journeys gives you a driver score. It’s a simple way to understand your driving habits and help improve over time.
Safer Journeys is just for you. It won’t affect your premium, policy, or claims.
If you haven’t already, download the NRMA Insurance app and create your online account.
Open the app, go to the Rewards tab (and register for Help Hub if you need to), tap Safer Journeys, and follow the prompts.
Once set up, your trips will be tracked automatically and you’ll receive a score after each one.
Make sure your phone’s Location Services and Motion & Fitness or Physical settings are on. This lets the app automatically detect and record your trips.
Your score appears shortly after each journey, helping you spot trends to try improve over time.
The Safer Journeys feature will do its best to identify all your drives accurately but if it mistakenly logs a trip (for example, you were using public transport or you were a passenger), just tap the trip, select the Driver icon, and choose the correct mode.
Safer Journeys is available in version 10.2.0 or later of the NRMA Insurance app. Make sure you have the latest app version so you can benefit from new features.
