FAQs

Frequently asked questions about the transition to NRMA Insurance for NSW, QLD, SA, WA, TAS, ACT and NT customers

What does this change mean for me and my current Swann Insurance policy?

For customers in all locations (except Victoria), your Swann Insurance policy will continue with the same product benefits and features until it expires.

  • You can continue to make a claim in the usual way using the Customer Portal on the Swann website or by calling Swann Insurance on 1300 657 318 (8:30am–5pm AEST/AEDT, Mon–Fri).
  • You can continue to make some changes to your Swann Insurance policy. Call Swann Insurance on 1300 307 926 (8:30am–6pm AEST/AEDT, Mon–Fri).

What will happen to my Swann Insurance policy at renewal time?

Swann Insurance customers in all locations (except Victoria) with a policy renewal date on or after 3 August 2025 will be contacted as usual before renewal time.

Eligible customers will receive an invitation to renew their motorcycle insurance with NRMA Insurance instead. To help you decide if you would like to renew with NRMA Insurance, your renewal pack will explain the renewal process, as well as some of the important differences between your current Swann Insurance policy and the new NRMA Insurance policy.

To ensure you make an informed decision:

  • Read all documents and check that all your details are correct. Let us know if any changes are required.
  • Ensure that you read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) together with your Certificate of Insurance (COI).
  • Check the excess shown is right for you, as it may have changed.
  • Check that any optional benefits listed on your new Certificate of Insurance (COI) meet your needs and that any listed drivers are shown.
  • Check the sums insured on your Certificate of Insurance (COI) are still appropriate for you.
