How do I make changes to my payment details?

For policies in NSW, QLD, TAS and the ACT first purchased before 21 April 2024 and not yet renewed, or last renewed before 1 July 2024

Online

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click Direct Debit
  3. Select your policy
  4. Within Payment Method, click Edit and follow the prompts.

Mobile app

  1. Open your NRMA Insurance app. (Don't have the app? Download from the App Store or Google Play)
  2. Click Manage Payments
  3. Select your policy
  4. Within Current Payment Method, click Edit and follow the prompts.

For all other policies

Online

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click View policy
  3. Then you can either:
    1. Click Edit under Payment Method to change account, OR
    2. Click Edit under Payment Plan to edit payment date or frequency.

Mobile app

  2. Click Manage Payments
  3. Select your policy
  4. Within Current Payment Method, click Edit and follow the prompts.

You can request a 7-day payment extension online.

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Select Direct debit
  3. Select your policy
  4. Choose Request payment extension

If you still can't make your payment, call us on 132 132 and we can talk about your options.

For all other policies

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Select your policy
  3. Under Payment Plan, select Request payment extension

You can pay for a range of our insurance policies by BPAY, including:

Please note that we don’t accept BPAY for your CTP Green Slip. Why? BPAY doesn’t currently provide real time payment, which means you can’t immediately register your car.

Provided all the information matches with Service NSW's records, it can take up to an hour for your payment details to be transferred electronically. This is known as an Electronic Green Slip, or e-Green.

After you get your Green Slip from us, we suggest you wait an hour before contacting Service NSW to complete your registration.

A nominated beneficiary is the person or persons you nominate to receive your benefit payment. It's always best to nominate a beneficiary, as not having one can delay the claims process.

If you’ve missed a payment, you can:

It's important to let us know about any payment issues as soon as possible to make sure we’re able to support you. If your payment is overdue, you'll need to pay the overdue amount as part of the claim settlement process. If you don't pay on time, we may cancel your policy.

You can make a BPAY payment by calling your bank or using internet banking and selecting the BPAY option.

When making a BPAY payment you'll need the reference number, biller code and the amount due. This will be shown on your policy document. Once completed you'll be given a receipt number for as a reference.
