Provided all the information matches with Service NSW's records, it can take up to an hour for your payment details to be transferred electronically. This is known as an Electronic Green Slip, or e-Green.
After you get your Green Slip from us, we suggest you wait an hour before contacting Service NSW to complete your registration.

After you've transferred ownership, you'll need to complete the required changes with Service NSW. They will process the transfer of ownership and the new policyholder will be notified of their CTP Green Slip details.

Please note that we don’t accept BPAY for your CTP Green Slip. Why? BPAY doesn’t currently provide real time payment, which means you can’t immediately register your car.

When making a BPAY payment you'll need the reference number, biller code and the amount due. This will be shown on your policy document. Once completed you'll be given a receipt number for as a reference.
See moreIf your payment details haven't transferred successfully and you don't have a copy of your CTP Green Slip or a CTP policy receipt, Service NSW won't be able to process your registration.
Service NSW will ask you to contact us to resend a copy of your Green Slip. Please have your registration papers on hand to confirm your details.
