FAQs

TAS Car Insurance FAQs

Some drivers may choose to get protection for their car and even add options such as excess-free windscreen cover. Other drivers may choose to get basic protection for things like damage to other people’s cars or property. We have car insurance options for a range of preferences.

You can read about our Comprehensive Car Insurance, Third Party Fire & Theft Insurance and Third Party Property Damage Insurance.

And that’s not all. For classic cars, there’s Classic Car Insurance, and we even have insurance for other vehicles like caravans and motorcycles.

Comprehensive Car Insurance is optional. It offers a broader range of cover than Third Party Fire & Theft Insurance and Third Party Property Damage Insurance, as third party insurance doesn’t cover your car if you accidentally damage it.

Our Comprehensive Car Insurance covers your car for accidental damage, collision or crash, severe weather, theft, vandalism and malicious acts. It also covers the extras on your car like alloy wheels, sunroofs and even baby seats.

You have various options to choose from for your car insurance in Tasmania, so you should consider which level of protection would best suit your needs.
