If you live in a house that's a share house you can either take out a policy as a group and all be listed on the policy or you can take out your own policy.
We only provide cover for the contents that are owned by the people that are listed on the policy. The amount you want to insure for should represent those items.
You can give other NRMA Insurance customers the ability to view your personal information and your policies, as well as take out new policies on your behalf. You can choose exactly what they can see and change, and you can change or remove their access any time. They won't be able to purchase new policies or make changes to your personal information, except by calling us on 132 132 and passing a 5-point ID check.

To be covered, your house must have been structurally sound, watertight and well maintained before the damage occurred.
If your home is unliveable because of an incident we cover, we'll pay for temporary accommodation for you and your family.
If you think you need to relocate, call us on 131 123 anytime, 24/7.
See moreNo. Your car or caravan won’t be covered while being used by another driver as part of any vehicle sharing service. However, you are still covered while you are the person driving the car.
When you apply for car or caravan insurance, we’ll ask you how often your vehicle is used for vehicle sharing. If it’s used for shared services more than 50% of the time, we may not be able to offer insurance.
