Supporting climate-smart innovations

The Help Fund innovation stream will provide grants and tailored support for eligible local climate innovations that aim to address risks, resilience and adaption.

Now in its second year, this innovation stream is delivered in collaboration with our partner Climate Salad - a network designed to accelerate the growth of climate tech companies.

What’s on offer?

Eight grants are available across two funding streams.

Successful recipients participate in an eight-month tailored support program with Climate Salad, including mentoring, expert guidance, peer learning & networking.

Growth Grant

Four grants of $100,000 each for established climate resilience solutions ready to scale or deploy.3

Emerging Founder Grant

Four grants of $25,000 each for founders with solutions ready to be implemented in Australian communities.3

Young founders & First Nations Innovators

Applications from young founders, First Nations innovators and founders from underrepresented communities are particularly encouraged.3

Who can apply?

To apply for our climate-smart innovation grants applicants should:

  • Be registered in Australia and have an ABN or CAN
  • Have a solution that directly addresses climate resilience1
  • Have a solution to be implemented across NSW, ACT, QLD, SA, WA, TAS, NT. Note that the grants are not available to applicants who are implementing their solution in Victoria
  • Be able to deliver the proposed project within the 8‑month program period of October 2026 to June 2027
  • Confirm compliance with relevant Australian laws and regulations
