Can I have a different name on my Green Slip to that on my registration?

The name on your CTP policy should match the name on your car registration.

If more than one name must be on your CTP Green Slip, the registered owner must be listed first.

If you're wanting to renew your vehicle's registration that has lapsed, you'll need to:

  • Purchase a CTP Green Slip without the registration number listed. This is known as an Original Registration
  • Complete a Vehicle Identity and Safety Check (formerly Blue Slip). Learn more about vehicle inspections and driving unregistered

Please note that the RMS will need the hard copy of the Original Registration. You can obtain this from your local NRMA branch
